Anke Djé Tribal Table
Our stunning wooden Tribal Tables are handcrafted in Ghana, West Africa
and finished here in Australia.
Anke Djé, translates to “everyone gather together in peace”.
This table has a beautiful Batonga Winnowing Basket under the removable glass top
The flat baskets are hand woven by the Tonga people of Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Traditionally used for winnowing grain they are made from natural grasses and fibre,
using a simple weave and featuring a coiled rim.

Each piece is handmade in the Batonga region in Zimbabwe with fair trade.
Made from grass reads and Ilala palm, organically dyed.

The beautiful Adinkra tribal carvings
On side of the tables are symbolic to the Ashanti kingdom,
each symbol has it’s own meaning.
Our unique tribal tables look fantastic in any traditional or modern contemporary
decor and can be used as a lamp table, side table, coffee table or simply a stunning stand alone signature piece.
We support the artisans of Africa and aim to keep the ancient skills of all tribes alive and well
through trade and exposure to a global market.
