Description

Wooden Sculpture Enslaved Africans

This piece was collected on our travels through Aburi, Ghana West Africa.

We were fortunate enough to visit a number of slave castles,

including Elmina Castle along Cape Coast

in Ghana where we were to witness the shocking conditions of African slaves

prior to being stolen from Africa and shipped to other parts of the world.

This stunning hand carved sculpture stands to remind us of the horrific history

of these events and pay respect to those that suffered at the hands of the colonizers.
