Our Story

ABOUT US — TRIBAL VILLAGE

African Art, Elevated.

Tribal Village is Australia’s luxury African art and interiors studio — where cultural heritage meets contemporary design, and where handcrafted objects are treated with the same reverence as modern sculpture.

We do not sell décor.
We curate statement objects, antiquities, ceremonial works, and architectural-scale pieces presented with museum-level precision.

About

OUR PURPOSE

To honour African art by placing it in the most beautiful spaces in the world.

African art carries ancestry, symbolism, and identity — yet it has often been reduced to “craft” in the Western retail landscape.

Tribal Village exists to shift that narrative.

We exist to:

  • Restore dignity to African artistry

  • Introduce African objects as architectural

  • Bring cultural depth into Australian interiors

  • Present African craftsmanship with cinematic beauty

  • Provide a platform for artisans, villages, and collectors

We treat African art as a living heritage, not a trend.

OUR STANDARD

Every Tribal Village piece must meet three standards:

1. Cultural Integrity

We source from artisans, elders, cultural custodians, collectors, and field dealers across Africa. Authenticity and story come first.

2. Architectural Presence

We specialise in elongated masks, sculptural wood forms, ceremonial objects, and large antique vessels with commanding visual weight.

3. Visual Excellence

Each piece is photographed and presented like a gallery exhibition — Moroccan riad scenes, limestone walls, museum stands, shadow-driven lighting.

This is not retail.
This is curation.
